Data Center/Critical Power: Recent events and natural disasters have increased client concerns with regard to maintaining operations during loss of power. Colwill Engineering has designed Data Centers, UL Certified Call Centers, and Critical Power Facilities throughout the US to address these concerns. Some of these facilities provide operations for emergency response teams in life and death situations.


SkyWay Aircraft Data Center - Clearwater, FL
Colwill Engineering provided critical power needs for the 80,000-sq.ft. headquarters facility that offers homeland security functions as well as in-flight internet, ground communication, and entertainment. The installation consists of multiple generators with paralleling capability for a total capacity of 1.8 megawatts, and 725 KVA of UPS capacity for data center equipment.


Publix Phase 2 Data Center - Lakeland, FL
8,800-sq.ft. expansion to the corporate data center including design for PDU's, CRAC unit connections, grounding, lighting and controls, fire alarm, leak detection, smoke detection, and security system interface.


New York Life South Florida Headquarters #1 & #2 - Tampa, Florida
Design and installation of a new 500KW generators to back up power for the entire buildings. Included interception of existing 800A and 1600A service entrance conduits and routing to new automatic transfer switchboard. An additional 130KVA UPS and static switch was installed for redundant power to equipment in the existing data center.


Menorah Manor Assisted Living Facility - St. Petersburg, FL
Installation of a 700KW generator, new switch gear, and auto transfer switch for the 5-story assisted living facility.
